Funding approved for 24 small projects under the second call of the EmBRACE SPF project

At the meeting of the Selection Committee held in Zagreb on 30 March 2026, the funding of 24 small projects was unanimously approved under the second call of the EmBRACE Small Project Fund (SPF), implemented within the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027 Programme.

Under the second call, entrepreneurs initially had EUR 3,000,000.00 at their disposal. Due to the high number of high-quality applications, the Small Project Fund Beneficiary (SPFB), HAMAG-BICRO, decided to increase the allocation to the maximum available SPF budget, amounting to EUR 4,635,195.14. This increase enabled the funding of a total of 24 small projects.

Out of 117 submitted project applications, 24 small projects were approved, with total eligible costs amounting to EUR 5,352,327.00, of which EUR 4,549,477.94 will be financed from EU funds.

Small projects on the reserve list may be financed if additional funds become available, in line with the ranking order.

All projects from the main list include partners from all three participating countries, demonstrating a strong cross-border cooperation component.

A total of 72 entrepreneurs will be supported under the second call: 24 from Croatia, 24 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and 24 from Montenegro.

The list of approved projects and reserve list is available HERE.

We congratulate all successful applicants and look forward to the successful implementation of their projects and their positive impact on the programme area.

In accordance with the decision of the SPFB, confirmed by the Selection Committee, all available funds under the EmBRACE SPF have been allocated within the second call. Consequently, a third call under the EmBRACE SPF will not be launched.
